Who we are
PocketMove is a physiotherapy practice management application operated by Reality OEM (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), registered in South Africa at 77 Adriana Crescent, Gateway Industrial Park, Rooihuiskraal. This policy explains what personal information PocketMove collects, why, and how it is protected, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Information we collect
- Name, surname, email address and phone/WhatsApp number for practitioners, admins and patients.
- Exercise assignments, schedules, and reminder/response history sent and received via WhatsApp.
- Login credentials (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text) for practitioners and admins.
How we use it
Information is used solely to operate the practice management service: scheduling exercise programmes, sending reminders and instructions to patients over WhatsApp, recording patient responses, and giving practitioners and admins tools to manage patients, exercises and assignments. We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Sharing with WhatsApp / Meta
To deliver and receive messages, PocketMove sends message content and phone numbers to Meta Platforms, Inc. via the WhatsApp Business Platform. Meta processes this data under its own Business Data Processing Terms. We do not share personal information with any other third party, except where required by law.
Retention and security
Data is retained for as long as a patient's care relationship with the practice is active, and is deleted on request (see Contact below). Access to the system is restricted to authenticated practitioners and admins, and passwords are never stored or transmitted in plain text.

Under POPIA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or object to its processing, by contacting us using the details below.
